With a background in water sports and guiding, he combines knowledge of the river with a practical and simple approach to fly fishing. The focus is on adapting to each guest, whether you are a complete beginner or already have experience.
Growing up and working on the Soča river means understanding its changes, conditions and hidden spots. This allows us to choose the best locations and give you a safe and authentic experience on the water.

Fly fishing on the Soča river is a unique experience in one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. Known for its crystal clear water and emerald color, the Soča river offers perfect conditions for both beginners and experienced anglers. The Soča valley is home to the famous marble trout, as well as grayling, brown trout and rainbow trout. Each river has its own character, which allows us to adapt the fishing day to current conditions and your experience level. We offer guided fly fishing trips on the Soča river and other rivers in the valley such as Koritnica, Lepenica, Učja, Tolminka, Idrijca and Bača. Whether it is your first time holding a fly rod or you already have experience, our guide will make sure you get the most out of your day on the water.

ABOUT FLY FISHING EXPERIENCE
We gather in our office in the centre of Bovec, where you complete all the formalities. After that, we drive to the river where your fly fishing experience begins. Based on your experience and water conditions, we choose the most suitable location. Before we start, the guide will explain the basics of fly fishing or help you improve your technique. During the trip you will learn how to read the water, approach fish and present the fly. The goal is not only to catch fish, but to understand the river and enjoy the whole experience.
EQUIPMENT
If needed, we provide:
- fly fishing rod
- waders and boots
All that you need is weather appropriate clothing and sunglasses.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Fly fishing trips are suitable for beginners as well as experienced anglers. Basic physical fitness is required. If you have any health problems or recent injuries, please consult with us before the activity.
